Control4 gives you simple, practical control of your music, movies, lights,
temperature and security system from anywhere in your home or anywhere in the world.Control4 lets you load CDs onto a central
music server/store.
The 2 way wireless Zigbee remote has an OLED display that lets you browse and select albums or tracks. The
remote will also control all of the other items in your home automation system. In rooms with TVs, the remote can bring up an on
screen menu which also shows the cover art that is on the central server.
The AV system in each room can be as simple or complex as required:
- Audio only – with access to CD server and radio
- Audio and TV – as above but can also access central or local DVD player and Sky Box
- Audio and high definition TV – as above but with high definition TV picture
- Full Home Cinema – with surround sound
The Control4 system can also be controlled from:
- An iPhone / iTouch (above right)
- A 10.5 inch in wall touch screen
- A 10.5 inch hand held touch screen with dock
- A 7 inch in wall touch screen (above left)
- A 7 inch on table touch screen
- A 7 inch hand held touch screen with dock (below left)
- A 4 inch in wall touch-screen
- An LCD keypad
- Various switches (2, 3 or 6 buttons)
The Control4 system can be expanded over time and Control4 make some wireless (Wi-Fi or Zigbee)
products which make retrofitting easier.
Many activities can be automated. It is possible integrate lights and music to create a comfortable wakeup scene to replace your
alarm clock. Lights can be dimmed when you start a movie, motion sensors can turn lights on and you can make it look like you are
home by automatically turning on the porch lights at sunset.
