| Multiple dwelling developments
With more and
more choice in digital applications available to the home owner, there is increasing market demand for built
in sound and A/V systems, be they pre-fitted or sold as part of an options scheme.
By installing a structured wiring system (including “pre-wiring” for multi-room audio), you can increase
your profit potential, add perceived value to, and differentiate your properties from those of your competitors.
A structured wiring system includes data points, phone points, multi-room audio wiring and TV distribution
(including Satellite / HDD / freeview). A number of options could then be offered, for example:
- Bronze option - ceiling speakers in 6 rooms. A single source (e.g. Hi-fi)
plays in all the rooms. The source may be located in the living room or next to the patch panel and can be controlled from any
room. Each room can also have a local source (e.g. TV/iPod).
- Silver option – similar to above but there are 6 sources. Each can be selected
and controlled from any room.
- Gold option – similar to above but there is a central sound server (into which hundreds
of CD have been loaded) and the required track can be selected from a wall keypad in each room.
- Optional Extra – each of the above options can have a 4 additional speakers added to the
ceiling in the main room to make a Home Cinema System
The chosen option can be fitted after the build is complete with the minimum of disruption
and is very discrete. The speakers and amplifiers fit in the ceiling and connect to the pre-installed cabling. A small audio
hub fits in the central patch box.
Individual dwellings
A bespoke installation can be designed. This may include some or all of the features the Smart Home.
